Designer waving is when specialty wraps (the way the rods are placed) are used or specialty rods, rollers, or bendies are used to infuse wave into the hair.  There are so many options available to us now as far as adding texture to the hair.  The only limit is our imaginations or yours.  Explain to your service provider what it is that you are looking for and they will do their best to deliver.
